Trust and responsible use of AI tutoring.
Blue Hippo supports responsible AI tutoring for structured school learning. Students stay actively involved in the learning process, and the AI tutor is designed to support understanding, reasoning and practice—not replace a student’s own work, their teachers or professional advice. AI guidance may be incomplete or incorrect, so important work should be checked against teacher instructions, class materials and trusted sources.

For important schoolwork, students should compare guidance with teacher instructions, class materials and trusted sources. If something seems unclear or inconsistent, they can ask for another explanation or seek help from their teacher.

Account and session controls
One account, one active tutoring session and no retained tutoring history.

One account can be shared
More than one person may use a registered account, but only one person can use it for tutoring at a time.

One tutoring session at a time
Only one tutoring session can be active at a time, and tutoring time is shared across the account.

No separate student profiles
The account does not maintain separate student profiles or separate tutoring histories.

Each session starts fresh
Tutoring-session history and information from one session are not retained for use in later sessions.
Account authority and session outcomes
The account holder manages the account.
Account holder controls
The registered account holder manages registration, Trial eligibility, payment, activation, renewal, cancellation and support. Students do not need to manage adult commercial controls to start tutoring.
A short outcome after a completed session
After a completed tutoring session, a short account-level outcome may be sent to the authorised account email. It can summarise what was worked on, the type of support provided and a suggested next step. It is not a stored conversation, tutoring history or multi-session progress record.

Participate actively
Explain what you are working on, answer questions and show your reasoning.
Use it honestly
Follow your school’s academic-integrity rules. Use Blue Hippo to understand, practise and improve your own work — not to submit AI-generated work as your own or complete assessed work dishonestly.
Protect personal information
Do not share unnecessary personal, sensitive or confidential information, including another person’s private information.
Respect other people and the service
Do not use Blue Hippo to impersonate, bully or harass someone, request harmful content, interfere with safeguards or deliberately misuse the service.
Ask for help when needed
Use a teacher, parent, guardian, qualified professional or Help and Support when the issue is outside tutoring scope.
